acrylics on deep set wood panel frame

52" x 26" x 2"

On September 30, 1955, near Cholame, California James Dean was killed driving his new Porsche 550 Spyder. The crashed remains of this simple racing classic were stolen and never recovered after the accident. It’s simple lines inspired my simple use of color that define this classic icon. Executed in acrylics on a deep-set 2” solid wood cradled panel.
